WEB WORKBENCH

My Project Workspace

A collection of systems, experiments, and builds

🧭 Stage 13 β€” WordPress Deployment (Virtualmin Web Apps)

At this stage I move from server setup into actually hosting a live website. The goal is simple:

Install WordPress through Virtualmin and confirm the server can run a real production-style site.

🌐 Step 1 β€” Install WordPress via Web Apps

Inside Virtualmin, I go to:

Manage Web Apps

Then I select:

WordPress

Show install optionsonly thing i select here is
Install sub-directory under public_html
At top Level = domain level

🌐 Step 2 β€” First login to WordPress

After installation, I log in to:

https://webworkbench.co.uk/wp-admin

I confirm:

Admin dashboard loads
SSL is active (HTTPS working)
No install errors
Site is publicly reachable

βš™οΈ Step 3 β€” Basic setup check

I quickly verify:

Site title is correct
Permalinks are set to β€œPost name”
HTTPS is enforced
Default theme is active
Admin account is working

No heavy configuration yet β€” just system validation.

πŸ” Step 4 β€” Confirm SSL integration

Because Let’s Encrypt is already configured (Stage 12), I verify:

WordPress loads over HTTPS
No mixed content warnings
Padlock is present in browser
Login page is secure

🧱 Stage result

At the end of this stage:

  • WordPress is installed via Virtualmin Web Apps

  • Database is automatically configured

  • Admin panel is accessible via HTTPS

  • Site is publicly reachable from internet

  • Server is confirmed capable of hosting dynamic web apps
